Almost every flower you can give falls into the same family of colours: cream, pink, white, red. Blue is the exception — very few natural flowers have it — and that is why a bouquet like this looks like nothing else. Here the blue hydrangea rules from the centre and everything else is there to hold it up: pink hydrangea softens the edges, garden roses bring the light, and eucalyptus opens the outline so the whole thing breathes instead of packing together.

Care instructions

Hydrangea is the thirstiest flower in the bouquet, so the first thing to do is put it in a tall vase with plenty of water as soon as it arrives. Change the water every two days and trim a centimetre off the stem at an angle each time. Away from direct sun and draughts it lasts five to eight days. If a hydrangea head droops, submerge it whole, upside down, in cold water for twenty minutes: it drinks through its petals too and usually recovers.

Is the blue hydrangea natural?

Yes, it is a natural flower, not artificial. A blue this intense is among the rarest things in cut flowers, and the intensity can vary slightly from week to week depending on what the market brings.

Does it always contain exactly the same flowers?

Blue hydrangea and garden roses are always there. The rest of the supporting flowers we adjust to the best that arrived that week, keeping the size and the colour range.

How long does it last?

Five to eight days. Hydrangea drinks a lot: use a tall vase, plenty of water, and change it every two days.

Is it as big as it looks in the photo?

Yes. It is an XXL bouquet, one of the largest we build, and it needs a wide vase so it isn't squeezed.

Can it be made without the blue?

Of course. We also build it in a white and cream range or in dusty pinks. Write to us before ordering and we will adjust it.
