The basket is built on soaked floral foam, so the flowers do not go in water: what you water is the foam. Pour a glass of water slowly over it, in several places, every two days, until the foam feels damp without overflowing. Keep it away from direct sun and air conditioning, which is what dries hydrangea fastest. If a hydrangea head starts to droop, mist it with cold water: it drinks through its petals too. The wicker basket stays with you; once the flowers are done it works for plants.
