Twelve roses are a correct gesture. Sixty are something else: you read them from the doorway and they leave no room for a lukewarm interpretation. Here the number is the message, which is why the piece does not try to hide it — it concentrates it into a closed dome with not a gap in sight. And these are not ordinary stems: they are garden roses, with far more petals, a slightly ruffled edge and that deep red that turns to velvet under side light.

The box arrives with the foam already soaked, so all you need to do is add a splash of water every two days at the edge, between the roses, until the foam is damp again. Keep it away from direct sun, heating and draughts. That way it lasts five to eight days. No stems to trim, no water to change: there is no vase.
